#21 FRIENDSHIP PINS

A fashion accessory from elementary school and maybe even high school (?) - making and trading colourful beads on safety pins was a way to say 'hey, we're friends' and to decorate your jean jacket or backpack. As far as I know only girls did this... please correct me if I'm wrong. I think people had their signature colours/patterns but did the colours stand for anything? Has this awesome fashion accessory found its way to the pre teens today...?

#19 BROWNIE BADGES: ARTIST, NUTRITION & FRIEND TO BIRDS

Were you a Brownie? I was (a Sprite) and I remember a highlight was doing all the tasks/activities/etc. required to earn these wonderful badges! I remember having a sash and armful! There are so many designs to choose from for this project, so I narrowed it down to 6 - even though I could do another painting with badges along a bit of a winter theme. If you were a Brownie, what are some of your favourite memories?

#18 LEGO MINI FIGURE

Ok, after a bit of a break (oops), I'm back at this project! with a little Lego mini figure. I know that this 80's toy is still going strong today but its totally different now and seems more character/theme based than just the plain characters & building bricks that we had to create with. Still love Lego though - how about you?
